"A four-year-old child in Pasirhuni village, West Java, has been found with both male and female genitalia. Around three months ago, the parents of the child, born a girl, noticed a small penis growing in the middle of her vagina, said Pasirhuni village chief Agus Suparman who lives near the girl's house. Agus said the child, currently undergoing a medical examination, had behaved like a boy, refusing to play with dolls and preferring to wear boys' clothes. Hermaphroditism is a genetic anomaly, gynecologist Hanny Ronosulistyo said as quoted by kompas.com.
