Lionel Richie and Diane Alexander - divorced in January 2004The estranged wife of singer Lionel Richie wants $300,000 a month in child and spousal support.
In an income declaration filed along with her support request in late February in Superior Court, Alexander said the couple had an "extraordinarily extravagant lifestyle" during their nearly seven-year marriage.
Alexander filed for separation in October last year (JET, Nov. 17, 2003). She filed for divorce in January, citing irreconcilable differences. The separated couple still share a 30-room Beverly Hills mansion.
Richie and Alexander married in 1996 during a private ceremony at the Metropolitan Club in New York City (JET, Jan. 20, 1997). They are the parents of a son, Miles, 9, and a daughter, Sofia, 5.
